Slayers 2 does not hand you a quest log of everything. Quests come from NPCs, and most of them gate something else: a trainer, a boss, a vendor or a whole region. The table below is ordered by level so you can see what to pick up next.

Recommended pickup order
- Kona first. The Book of Guidance is the game's own quest router and saves hours of walking.
- Krue at level 7 for Zuko, then Tom at 18 for Mother Bear — both are early gear checks.
- Sofen at 45 before Final Selection: the permit is the only way into the fishing economy.
- Retsu before Iceveil. The lantern is not optional; cold damage will kill a farming run.
- Goro at 75 and Mitsu at 105 are the two big late-game gates.
