Slayers 2 Beginner Guide

Everything a new player needs for the first session, based only on verified launch information.

Slayers 2 drops you into an open world where you must quickly choose the character you want to become: a Slayer who hunts demons with a breathing style, or a Demon who wields a blood demon art. Everything after that choice — training, quests, weapons, clans, skill points — branches by path.

First session path

  1. Pick your path — decide Slayer or Demon before committing skills. The two sides do not share their movesets.
  2. Go through the tutorial quests — early-story quests teach movement, combos and the menu. Use the official controls below.
  3. Learn your first moves — combos use M1 (light) and M2 (heavy) strings; see the official combo list under Controls.
  4. Spend skill points carefully — you earn 3 per level in the skill tree. Early points are easiest to re-earn later, so save them until a build direction is clear.
  5. Pick a clan and weapon that fit — some clans are tied to specific styles (Agatsuma + Thunder, Kocho + Insect). Read the clan page before rolling.

Beginner tips

  • Water and Insect Breathing are ranked lowest after launch; Thunder, Sound and Snake are the community favourites if you want an easier start.
  • Keep third-party numbers (drop rates, respawns, exact stats) suspicious until verified — many sources reuse old Project Slayers data.
  • Join the official Discord for patch notes; balance patches change what is strong.

Unconfirmed numbers such as costs, stats and drop rates are intentionally not printed here.

FAQ

FAQ

Common questions about this topic.

Is Slayers 2 hard to learn?

The core loop is straightforward; the depth is in builds. Community launch coverage ranks Thunder and Blood as the easiest strong options.

Can I play Slayers 2 for free?

Yes — the game is a Roblox experience and free to play.

Should I spend skill points immediately?

Not necessarily. Early points are easy to farm back; many players save until they pick a style/art and clan direction.
